Pdexposures.TV Episode 8 – How To Photograph Auto Racing
March 6, 2013 in Episodes by Admin
Just a short drive from Portland sits Pats Acres Racing Complex; a haven for those who like all things automotive, and a way to keep racing safe and legal for those interested in flexing their automotive muscles. We took a trip out there with our How-To guide in hand. To be fair this How-To was produced by Vivitar in the 1970s as a way to sell lenses, but it still had some very helpful information in it at the time. How well does that information hold up today? We’ll just have to find out, as we take an old 35mm SLR out to the track and pit it against modern digital SLRs.
Have a booklet that you think would make for a great review/how to? Be sure to let us know, we’d love to feature it!

Best episode yet. Auto racing photography is something I have little to no interest in personally, but I found the way you creatively structured the show to be centered around an instruction manual from the 1970s quite interesting. Plus the way you structured your images as though you where taking them real time on the race track was great.
